Hell, Grand Cayman
(2.1/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Send a postcard from Hell, an ancient limestone formation whose jagged, angular topography conjures visions of the inferno. After passing through the red gift shop, filled with novelty postcards and proclaiming "Welcome to Hell," make your way to the viewing platform to admire the rugged desolation beyond. You can't walk on the sharp, treacherous rocks, but you can take plenty of great photos from the viewing platform. Arrange your visit to Hell and discover more family-friendly attractions in West Bay using our West Bay itinerary maker.

  • Kudos to Ivan and all he's created there in Hell. A definite tourist spot, don't be surprised by the shear number of cruise ship excursion vans you'll encounter, along with the volumes of cruise ship ...  more »
  • Not worth the time to go there. Not much to it but bad tourist advertising. It was pretty hokey. Only siemi-fun thing was to take a picture in front of the Hell Post Office.
  • Yes it's worth going so you can send a postcard from Hell to your family, which only costs cents. But the actual rock formation is not overly impressive. It's interesting and usual but not hugely impr...  more »

  • This a very small place but is very interesting geologically. Yhe proprietor of the gift shop is very knowledgeable about the location. Get an amusing stamp in your passport (gatis) buy postcards to mail from he'll or just visit he'll.
  • What a great free spot to stop and visit while in West Bay. You can take pictures and walk out back of the post office to see the rock formations. Very cool spot!
  • It is a great site seeing stop. There were several rooster and hens walking around. If you go to Hell, you can truly say "I've been to Hell and back... literally"
  • More cute than worth a special trip, but stop by if you are nearby. There's a few interesting rock formations that hint of the fires of Hell. Back in the days of mailing post cards it was fun to mail a post card from Hell. Visit here and avoid the real "Hell". :)
  • If you're in the Bahamas you need to check this place out! It's not likely that you will be back soon unless you are lucky enough to live in the Bahamas. It is worth the quick detour. Really no photos on here do the place justice. We quickly stopped by here while on a cruise so I didn't get to enjoy it for long before running down the road to the turtle farm, and then booking it for the cruise. Hope to come back one day soon!
