Hell, Grand Cayman

Send a postcard from Hell, an ancient limestone formation whose jagged, angular topography conjures visions of the inferno. After passing through the red gift shop, filled with novelty postcards and proclaiming "Welcome to Hell," make your way to the viewing platform to admire the rugged desolation beyond. You can't walk on the sharp, treacherous rocks, but you can take plenty of great photos from the viewing platform. Arrange your visit to Hell and discover more family-friendly attractions in West Bay using our West Bay itinerary maker.

The rock formations do in fact invoke a sense of the Biblical location of hell. Really cool place, can even send your friends and family a post card from Hell's Post Office. Wasn't as hot as I thought... read more »
I was not expecting to see the Smithsonian here...I really do not know what I was expecting. Good 5 minute roadside attraction for 1970 ;-) Chatted up the owner for a minute, got our passports stamped... read more »

If you're in the Bahamas you need to check this place out! It's not likely that you will be back soon unless you are lucky enough to live in the Bahamas. It is worth the quick detour. Really no photos on here do the place justice. We quickly stopped by here while on a cruise so I didn't get to enjoy it for long before running down the road to the turtle farm, and then booking it for the cruise. Hope to come back one day soon!
More cute than worth a special trip, but stop by if you are nearby. There's a few interesting rock formations that hint of the fires of Hell. Back in the days of mailing post cards it was fun to mail a post card from Hell. Visit here and avoid the real "Hell". :)
Very overrated... just a limestone rock formation, literally.. however I love ed the souvenir shop and the employees there, everyone had great personalities and were very welcoming and friendly.
A total tourist trap, but great deals on rum and rum cake. We got 2 bottles for $27, plus free rum cake samples in multiple flavors.
Been here 4 separate times and each time after the first my tour guide called me a native. So, now I tell my brothers and sisters in Christ that I've been to Hell and back again 4 times.
