  • We walked around the port area and enjoyed food and shopping. We then walked into town and it was wonderful. Shops and restaurants of all kinds and friendly people. We never felt unsafe for a moment. ...  more »
  • In George Town there is no port or a dock for large ships. When you arrive with a cruise ship a steamship takes passengers into town. Curious to see iguanas, roosters and other animals freely. Many souvenir shops and typical restaurants in the commercial area, with a convenient wi-fi is available for an hour or so.

  • Enjoyed our stop here; we were on a cruise and it was BEAUTIFUL. Love Grand Cayman - so much to see and do, the port was easy on/off with lots of vendors selling their wares.  more »

  • George Town Cruise Port is easy to dock at and port authority representatives are very courteous and helpful. It can get very busy when cruise ships drop anchor and start their tender services. Very easy to walk into town or catch a taxi service to go further onto the island.
  • This may be a small port where the ships can't sick they have to anchor out a few hundred yards out and "tender" you to the port which means shuttle you by either several large pontoon boats or lower a couple of the life boats down and use them. I don't like that because it takes FOREVER due to the fact only a couple hundred ppl at a time can go and when you have several thousands of ppl trying to get there and get back, this time it took us 3 hours of standing in line to get back to the ship. With that said, it is worth the wait, George town and all of grand cayman island is AMAZING place, beautiful, lots of shops, nice ppl; I have been 5 or 6 times.
  • Not the most exciting of ports... Officer's directing traffic was the highlight...
  • This place is pretty well organized. There are a ton of things to do and within walking distance it is easy enough to find a cool excursion. Busy like crazy when a ship comes in obviously.
  • Nice, clean and very well organized place
