Cameron River Falls Trail, Yellowknife

4.8
#1 of 8 in Parks in Yellowknife
Don your walking boots for a picturesque hike through Cameron River Falls Trail. Follow the well-marked trails to a picturesque waterfall, and cross a suspension bridge for panoramic views over the forest. Once at the lookout point, you will be treated to views of a 17 m (55 ft) waterfall, a river, and a canyon. Wildlife watchers should look out for bears, beavers, waterfowl, and muskrats. While the 1.2 km (0.7 mi) dirt path and lush forest walk does not pose an immense challenge for inexperienced walkers, those with young children in strollers may have a difficult time over some of the rocks. Participated as an optional tour at Aurora village. You could just enjoy the Arctic fall in seasonal colours. Trails course no big ups and downs, the ordinary sneaker shoes is fine. In the evening return to Yellowknife. Suitable for Optional excursions in between viewing the northern lights.

On a tour of the Aurora Village options you have chosen. Is quite high in the solo 100 CAD, participated, was right. In the autumn leaves (although yellow actually), guests can enjoy a fun hike. From 100 CAD with round-trip transportation (will move on the bus) and mineral water bottle. It takes 2 hours by bus, so hiking is the real 1 hour 30 minutes. Cameron falls back down the same road. Guide such as the composition of the vegetation of the local trees and rocks, and from time to time breaks in the Middle while, let's explain. Along the way, a little tough going up there, very well maintained roads also include wood road, so you can enjoy regardless of age. Just the right hiking shoes or sneakers are at the very least reassuring. Also toilets hiking entrance has toilets, but the Japanese have used resistance quite so women Please note.

This was a great way to spend a few hours, from the drive out and the trail in. There are a few ups and downs and the rocks could possibly be slippery at times but it was definitely time well spent. T...  more »

Where to stay in Yellowknife

Accommodations in Yellowknife come in the form of small hotels, bed and breakfasts, and guesthouses scattered throughout the city. For the most interesting scenery, stay north of the center near the Bush Pilots Monument.
