Hiking Trail
Don your walking boots for a picturesque hike through Cameron River Falls Trail. Follow the well-marked trails to a picturesque waterfall, and cross a suspension bridge for panoramic views over the forest. Once at the lookout point, you will be treated to views of a 17 m (55 ft) waterfall, a river, and a canyon. Wildlife watchers should look out for bears, beavers, waterfowl, and muskrats. While the 1.2 km (0.7 mi) dirt path and lush forest walk does not pose an immense challenge for inexperienced walkers, those with young children in strollers may have a difficult time over some of the rocks. • I drove out with some friends while visiting Yellowknife. It's an easy drive from the city; we went around 10 pm. It's a bit of a hike in, about half an hour, and I wasn't in the best shape so it was ...  more »
  • This is an in-and-out trail. We thought it was full-circle, but it is not. While there are bridges, stairs, etc., most of the trail is ungroomed and some areas are a bit challenging if you're not in s...  more »
  • Beautiful hike. My 4 year old could manage it but he isn't a complainer. Beware of potential mosquitoes.  more »
