  • This is one of 'the' sights to see in Yellowknife. The monument is very simple. It's a wonderful tribute to the pilots who gave their lives in a high risk job to help develop Canada's northern territo...  read more »
  • It is a bit of a climb ( about 70 steps I was told by my grandson) but certainly the view is worth the effort! One can see the harbour with the houseboats, as well as the main section of the old town....  read more »
  • Can have a birds-eye view of the lake and the town from there. A bit tired to climb up to the top in snow but worth visiting.
  • Great views of the bays and the town. It was not busy when I went though the rest of the town seemed to be and we watched the sun set.
  • It was good to see the entire area. but I felt it was dangerous because of the ice/snow. There was no railing to hold on the top of the monument. It would have been better if I saw this in summer.
  • Beautiful vantage point for views of yellowknife bay and back Bay. Watch float planes land and take off, fishing boats come and go. .
  • Nice lookout point to see the entire area around here. There are several benches where you can sit and watch the seaplanes land and takeoff as well. Be sure to park in the small parking lot on Ingraham Drive, and then you can walk from there up the stairs to the monument.
  • Great views of the city and the surrounding lake!
