Categories: Lighthouses, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
Head to the edge of the rocky headland and climb to the top of Cape Forchu Lightstation, a lighthouse operational since 1840 surrounded by untouched, natural landscape. The tower features an "apple core" design, painted in white and red. A museum operates in the lightkeeper's house, exhibiting an array of photos and memorabilia. Pop into the tourist shop where you can buy handmade items such as small handcrafted buoys, glass ornaments, and beach glass items. You can also walk around the park that surrounds the lighthouse, which features paths, picnic sites, and views of the coast and open water. Put Cape Forchu Lightstation into our Yarmouth family vacation planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Not just a lighthouse, but a wonderful park like setting. Would be great to take a picnic and book to sit and enjoy the day.
