  • you can spend a couple of hours here and learn a lot. and there are nice views through the large windows. a great place to get out of the rain as well. I don't recommend the coffee, but the gift shop has some reasonably priced shirts. Also check out the amazing fossil table, where you can handle 500 million year old fossils. There is also a kids play area. Finally, there are some humorous sculptures that focus on scientists doing their work in the natural environment.
  • If you're going to the Tablelands, definitely drop by the Discovery Centre and either download or pickup a loaner tablet with their app. It has great videos and explanations of the flora and geology of the area. Totally adds to the experience. We didn't go. the guided hikes as we missed the one for today, but those should be good too if you like a more personal learning experience. The staff at the centre are super nice and knowledgable. Clean building and washrooms. Great view as well with outside picnic tables!
  • This place is a must if you are going to the Tableland or the view top trail. The exhibit there is worth the time spent there. Don't forget to go up the second floor for good viewing of the bay and surrounding area from the patio
  • The engaging staff make this a worthwhile stopover on your way to the Tablelands trail head about 15 min away by car. There was this older park ranger that took the time to explain the tablelands to my daughter and in between talks, he'll just burst out in newfie song! More power to you Mr. Ranger.
  • Great staff and exhibits about the local area. They even have a place for kids. Great lookout onto Bonne Bay!
