We have been to many of Parks Canada's Visitor Centres or Interpretive Centres but this is one of the best. The location is good with views over Gros Morne Park and an ocean inlet. The building is new...  more »

If you're going to the Tablelands, definitely drop by the Discovery Centre and either download or pickup a loaner tablet with their app. It has great videos and explanations of the flora and geology of the area. Totally adds to the experience. We didn't go. the guided hikes as we missed the one for today, but those should be good too if you like a more personal learning experience. The staff at the centre are super nice and knowledgable. Clean building and washrooms. Great view as well with outside picnic tables!

Super experience with delightful staff and innovative displays. Took me two separate visits of over 2 hours each to even begin to take it in. Will visit again before our 5 day stay in the area is over. Great job Parks Canada staff!!

Very helpful staff, great location within Gross Morne, the craft store was a bit of a let down with relatively generic gift shop items vs good local artists

Walk the area and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. Definitely get on a boat tour though.

You need to stop here to get passes to the park and for backcountry passes if you're backpacking in. The girl we purchased our passes from was super helpful and knowledgeable about the Green Gardens Trail that we were going to, and suggested which campsites were her favorites. Also a really clean bathroom which is nice after trekking in the woods in the rain and wind. Cool little gift shop as well.
