  • Loved the sustainable building. Children will love this place. THere is plenty of land for kids to go running around on. Ask about a tour of the sustainable building.
  • Nice family outing but really busy in the afternoons on weekends during the maple syrup festival. Suggest you get to the conservation area before 11 am or you will be waiting to park for the better part of an hour.
  • Don't go there on a holiday. Go on a weekday, in the morning, in the autumn. Walk through the forest, see the fall colors. Peaceful and relaxing, great place for a quick hike.
  • Just came back from Kortright on Good Friday. Little did I know that we would have a massive line up for getting in, waiting for the washroom and waiting for pancakes. Waited 2 hours and 20 minutes to get into park and parking lot even though we had online tickets. We were then told that we had to wait in another line to print our tickets, these people, at least 20, were standing in the middle of the road. Only two people working at the parking gate. After waiting this long in the car, we argued that we didn't want to wait in another line after all we already had our tickets. The attendant considered this and let us thru. What is the point of buying online tickets if they do not count the number of tickets being sold? Despite the long wait, the lot was about only 3/4 full. Our first stop after the long wait was of course, the washroom, which again was a long line up because there were only 2 working toilets in the ladies washroom which wasn't very clean at all. We also waited about another 30 minutes to get our pancakes. No signs anywhere telling us where the maple syrup was, we just 'found' it. We also bumped into some friends who were behind us in the car line up. They also had online purchased tickets. When they reached the parking gate, they were told the lot was full after waiting 2 hours. Why don't they tell people ahead of time? Why does it seem they don't have enough staff? We did see the Pioneer Sugar Shack and a staff member asked us for some 'suggestions'. I told the employee everything from the parking lot disaster, the washroom and so on. The staff member then told me that they didn't expect so many people and they only get these numbers during March Break(Why do you sell online tickets?) Thank goodness the day was nice and we could go outside. Next time, we will park on the side road and walk in-it's faster.
  • One of the most beautiful places for a wedding! The canopy of trees provided an elegant and intimate atmosphere. As a wedding officiant, I have had the joy of performing a number of weddings here. Terrific location, excellent service and staff, accessible parking. Highly recommended.
  • Went for Easter egg hunt during Easter weekend. Long line up to park. Only two people working at the gate. And parking lot is only half filled. Worst part is no egg or egg painting. They make small area with one volunteer. So the deal is if kid finds 3 pine cones, kid gets 3 cheap three tiny cheap chocolates. False exaggerated ad Kortright put on to fraud customers. Every people who brought their kids were like what the heck... Very unethical and fradulant behaviour. Will never visit again.
