  • Very nice and friendly staff. This is is well equip with all kind of new equipment and lots of variety of animal. The zoo is very well maintained and be ready to walk a lot because this place is very huge and lovely. If you can not walk or tired or have kids with you that have already small train and its stop which you do not have to pay anything just hop in and get to new attraction in the zoo. The polar bear section is really wonderful and the this zoo has it . It is really amazing and I am very surprised the new aquarium section where you can go inside and see polar bear swim.I am sure it is possible in summer . They have huge collection of butterfly in one section.I hope I can write so much good stuff about the zoo but people wont read it so I am putting pic please check them and you will know more about the zoo.
  • This zoo is very minimal. It's amazing for us in the prairies, but if you're coming from a bigger city you'll likely be disappointed. Our family has the yearly pass and make use of it dozens of times whether it's raining, snowing or sunny there is always some fun to be had. Be optimistic and you'll have a great outcome. TIP: Wear khaki colors to blend in with the zookeepers. The animals will pay close attention to you! The seals also love the color red.
  • Coming from another province this Zoo was pretty minimal. Many of the animals were not on display. The polar bear exhibit was great, although the little pens farther down that housed the other polar bears... that just seemed sad. I was concerned about fencing around the large cats - parents can't always watch their young kids that closely. The cats looked stressed. I enjoyed seeing the white bison. I always look forward to zebras, but I didn't see any, or signage for any. I went a year ago, so this review might be old news. I don't think I would go again. I pray some of the bigger animals have larger pens, but according to google earth they don't. This was my first visit to a zoo where I started to understand this movement to ban zoos. On the up side - I had fun going through the gift shop!
  • I made my first trip to the Assiniboine Park Zoo since all the new construction and exhibits. Wow! It is really a world-class site. The Journey to Churchill is amazing. The Heavy Horse Center is a treat. The blending of the old and the new is wonderful.
  • I had a wonderful time in this zoo. The place is huge and there is so much to see. The variety of animals found in the zoo is pretty awesome.
