  • One of my favourite places in Winnipeg. Beautiful place, peaceful, and a lot of activities happen there during the year
  • I went to the zoo for the first time in over 20 years on August 14,2016. I have to say it has come a long way since I was last there with a long way yet to go. I am not an advocate of zoos but I do see improvement from when I used to go. The polar bear exhibit is amazing. The butterfly house is a beautiful display. One of the eagles was on the ground of its enclosure and could hardly lift its head, Very sad to see this. The snow leopards have a very small enclosure. This is very unfortunate that they must live in such conditions. The kangaroos have two large enclosures and these poor animals just pace in circle. :( Hopefully these are rectified. I didn't see the entire zoo so I cant comment on much more. Hopefully living conditions continue to improve for these animals if they must remain in captivity.
  • Beautiful open fields, picnic areas and trails for walking and biking! You can definitely make a whole day of spending time here! The duck pond is awesome, too! It's an awesome place for photos as well!
  • This zoo has definitely gotten a lot better. I've been many times in my life but since the renovations and additions this is now a real zoo worthy of comparison to other zoos in north american cities. I hope they keep adding new additions and exhibits in future.
