  • Nice walking trail around the fort. It is the oldest block house in Canada, apparently. Interesting signage.  more »

  • This has North America's oldest blockhouse from a military fort. The other buildings and palisades are long gone. A walking path (1km) surrounding it. View of the St.Croix and Avon rivers. Interesting history, including notes on the expulsion of the Acadians. An important fort during the Seven Years War, American Revolution and War of 1812.
