Zig-zag down the shimmering, pristine slopes of Whistler Blackcomb, a leading ski resort. Situated along two ridge lines, the mountain peaks are connected by a record-holding cable car, “Peak 2 Peak”, the longest and highest unsupported cable car span in the world. Forming one of the largest ski resorts in North America, both peaks offer a range of slopes to cater to all abilities, and an extensive lift capacity to get you around the two mountains. When you need to rest your ski legs, head to one of the many on-slope dining locations, serving up tasty local cuisine, with breathtaking glacial views. • We went to Whistler Blackcomb. Luck was with us the day we were there. It was clear and sunny so we did some hikes. Its a superb ski resort as well.
  • It's like a planned community (built for the Olympics). Several types of lodging, lots of restaurants. Clean and safe. Sometimes filled with masses of people, partying. There are several walking trail...  read more »
  • For those who would visit in the summer, the hiking up the mountains is the must-do activity! The best trails are on Whistler Mountain, the most spectacular one being the High Note Trail. It is 9.5 km...  read more »
  • Great little cafes. Helpful staff. Only one ticket needed for all the gondolas in the area. Smooth ride up and amazing views when you get to the top
  • A trip in BC would not be complete withiut a visit to Whistler. I had never seen landscapes that pretty in my entire life. I did prefer Whistler to Blackcomb though. Also, try to get there early in the morning. We got there at 12:00; and we almost had run everywhere to make sure we could see all what we wanted.
  • First time in Canada. Ski a lot in Mammoth and Tahoe. Been to plenty of places in Utah and Colorado. And this place is amazing. If you enjoy skiing, save money and go.
  • Whistler is a beautiful place. Once you get up on the mountains (Whistler or Blackcomb) you will see that it is also huge! With mile of runs of differing skill levels, there is something for everyone. My absolute favorite run was down Blackcomb glacier. You also have both mountains available to you from up top via the Peak to Peak gondola. Once the lifts close there are lots of places to go to have drinks and food and enjoy the Apres Ski. We stayed in the Tantalus Lodge which is only a 5-7 minute walk from the lifts. Looking forward to going back!
  • No need to explain. Beautiful views from everywhere. Spent 2.5 days but couldn't explore all the terraines. I went there in March 2016, the snow was melting incluing those at the highest peak. Wonder if it's usually like this.
