  • I really enjoyed the intro class. I was the only one that showed up but Carmen held the class just for me! I hope others sign up for it so that it will run.  more »

  • This is definitely one of the better pools I've visited. Staff are warm and welcoming, the changing area is fine, nothing special there, but the monsoon showers are great and soap is provided. The 25 meter pool is clean and seems a touch warmer than EU standards which I love! A hot tub, steam room and sauna is on hand for a post swim chill. A great place to swim or just to go relax the muscles after a day on the mountain.
  • A very nice recreational complex in Whistler that is fun for the whole family. The skating rink has periodic public skating, check the schedule, the pool has a large separate children's pool with some fun built in water toys. The pool area also has a sauna, steam room, and hot tub for adults. A well-equipped gym and two squash courts round out this excellent facility.
  • Whistler is lucky to have such great facilities. The pool & ice rink are excellent for kids and the fitness classes are also very good. TIP: Beware of going with older kids on a Saturday or Sunday AM. The place is booked out with lessons and lap lanes so all of the lanes in the big pool are basically closed as is the slide. Big kids really don't have anywhere to play or swim unless they want to do laps or hang out in the kiddy pool. Best to go after 12pm on weekends.
  • Fully equipped sports facility and gym. Clean and inviting workout areas and public facilities. Complex also has swimming pools, squash courts and an ice rink that accommodates many levels of competitive hockey and ice skating, as well as public free skate sessions. Skate hire is available. Staff are friendly and helpful.
  • Nice fitness centre, has pool, gym, sauna, steam room, hot tub and an ice hockey rink. Cheap nights are Tuesday and Friday after 6pm it's only $4.50 to get in. I believe they also have the rink open for skating on Tuesdays. Plenty of parking. All round great facility.

Where to stay in Whistler

Whistler caters to guests with a wide selection of accommodations, although budget travelers might struggle to find more affordable options. If you visit Whistler during the ski season, stay in the southern section of town, closest to the main ski lifts. You can also beat the crowds of the town proper and stay farther south in Whistler Creek, where the shores of Alta Lake meet the Creekside gondola. It's worth booking early no matter what time of year you visit, as the town can get incredibly busy even during summer.
