Lost Lake, Whistler
(4.5/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Get some fresh air and take the easygoing hike along paved and gravel trails to Lost Lake, a pristine lake set in dense evergreen forest. If you visit between June and September you’ll find an area for swimming, as well as plenty of barbecue spots surrounding the lake. Consider bringing a picnic and sitting on the green grass beside the water to eat. During the winter months, the lake exudes an altogether different beauty, as the paths transform into cross-country skiing trails. You can't bring dogs to the lake, but you can take them to a dog-friendly area nearby. Before you head to Whistler, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Whistler vacation builder, to make sure you see all that Whistler has to offer, including Lost Lake.

  • Fun little trail. Over mile to the lake with lots of turns and cut backs. Not difficult and pretty great views along the way. Snow shoes are needed after mid December it seems.
  • Just had our first attempt at snow shoeing and lost lake was beautiful. Walked miles and very hilly in places. Jolly good work out. We even saw a wild cat, gorgeous.
  • I love lost lake trails. From easy to reasonably technical it was a blast. What made it even more enjoyable was bringing my three year old around the main loop. It made this trip even more special.
