Create an itinerary including Lost Lake
Get some fresh air and take the easygoing hike along paved and gravel trails to Lost Lake, a pristine lake set in dense evergreen forest. If you visit between June and September you’ll find an area for swimming, as well as plenty of barbecue spots surrounding the lake. Consider bringing a picnic and sitting on the green grass beside the water to eat. During the winter months, the lake exudes an altogether different beauty, as the paths transform into cross-country skiing trails. You can't bring dogs to the lake, but you can take them to a dog-friendly area nearby. Use our Whistler driving holiday planner to add Lost Lake and other attractions to your Whistler vacation plans.

  • Had a nice walk around the lake one morning. Nice pleasant experience and not a demanding walk. Would recommend.

  • Go there before 10:45am or after 5pm to enjoy the parking. Great place for jumping on the water.
  • Very beautiful and calming lake. Nice for having a hike or just a walk. You can walk up the jetty and sit at the water for hours and relax. Very enjoyable
  • Beautiful place, so quiet and peaceful, privet washrooms, and so many trails
  • Nice place to hang out! Lots of trails and places to sit and admire nature :) Not very much parking though.
  • Beautiful lake. Really popular spot and heavily trafficked. Come earlier in the day during the week to avoid the crowds in the afternoons. The lost lake trail is a short 4km loop around the lake with minimal elevation changes - super easy walk around. The trail is shared by hikers, and also mountain bikers. You can choose to take the nature trail which is for hiking only. There are probably only about 20 or so parking spots at lost lake park, so you may be better off just parking in lot 4 or lot 5 then walking over to lost lake.
