The facility was renovated in 2013, before the U23 championships began. For the Championships and the Pan American Games improvements to the venue included widening of the canal to bring the venue up to conditions and meet international standards, and also saw the addition of buildings along the course. • This is a lovely trail next to the Welland Canal. No matter the day, we can always see rowers on the Canal, except during winters, when people start to fish by making holes in the ice. However, most o...  more »
  • This is by far the BEST venue for dragon boat racing that I have ever visited. The racing conditions are perfect. Each lane is equally deep and the starting gates insure that a fair start is achieved ...  more »

  • Apparently one of the best race courses in Canada for dragonboat/paddle sports. We came here for 2016 dragonboat national championships. There is a parking lot and you have to pay for the weekend. There are also near by streets that you could park on that are free, but require a bit more walking to the race site. There's WIFI, lots of seating, but not many trees - bring a tent, umbrella and sunscreen/sunglasses!
  • Awesome flatware center that hosted the 2015 Pan Am Canoe Kayak and the 2015 World Dragon Boat Championship Regatta. It will be hosting the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships for the next few years as well as a number of local rowing and canoe / kayak events each year.
  • Love this place! Amazing place to take the kids and family. Offers free kayaking and canoe rentals all summer long for kids under the age of 16.
  • Beautiful grounds. Great place to watch races!
  • I have been passing by and I saw regatta, nice people, nice sport.
