Found between the mountain peaks of the Akamina Ridge, Cameron Lake represents a sub-alpine lake that is one of many bodies of water that makes up the surrounding national park. Take in the views along the 16 km (10 mi) highway to reach the lake at 1,646 m (5,400 ft) above sea level. Breathe in the fresh, crisp air as you take in the mountainous scenery. Picnic along the shore, or venture out onto the water in a rented paddleboat or kayak. Various hiking trails are available for all levels of fitness. You may even spot a grizzly bear on the far slopes of the lake.   • We stopped at Cameron Lake when we took a drive through Waterton Park. My boys played in the water while we sat on the beach. We rented a couple of kayaks and took them out on this lake for an hour. I...  more »
  • Skiing or snowshoeing in to the lake is the way to go. PAssing along the way the oldest ACC cabin in the system (given to the ACC by PArks Canada). The skiing is novice level with no issues route find...  more »
