  • always a beautiful hike, lots to see. the views at Bertha Lake are awesome and guaranteed you will see some sort of wildlife. 
  • The trail begins on Evergreen Street in the town of Waterton, just past Cameron Falls. You can easily walk there from anywhere in town and there are also lots of parking spaces if you drive. The first...  more »
  • Bertha falls are easy, set access apart from some fairly steep portions of trail. Then, must continue to the Lake Bertha, although since then the rise is steeper and more tiring. But the effort is rewarded, first by the Bertha falls graduate, well most photogenic, and then by the Lake, surrounded by snowy peaks, ultramarine blue. Predict a polar, because in the circus or the Lake, it's not very hot. Note that all along the trail, in June the flora is superb! columbines, bear grass, anemones, orchids, etc... Count between 3 and 4 hours ride, within the reach of everyone. The trail is very well maintained, just to be well shod, and a bit of courage...
