Winery / Vineyard · Food & Drink
Take a peek behind the scenes and taste wine straight from the oak barrel at Foreign Affair Winery, the first Canadian winery to craft 100 percent appassimento wines in a true Amarone (drying of grapes before pressing) style. This Italian technique for winemaking produces top-notch denser wines you'll get to pair with artisanal Canadian cheese. Note that groups of six and more people need to make prior reservations. • Don't let the wine shop fool you. If you are doing a tasting, they take you in the back where the barrels are for a beautiful sit down tasting. Definitely worth the price of the tasting. The...  more »
  • Love this winery I have since it opened. New owners but they are continuing the dream and standards of the originals. The wine is amazing and so are the staff members. Go!  more »

  • Great winery, even among so many contenders! Megan was friendly and helpful to our family as we tasted, sharing stories and wine wisdom. She's very knowledgeable. Beautiful venue with outdoor seating and a nice big moose to greet you!
  • Went on a Friday afternoon and had an amazing experience - it was a little hard to find but once we got in the tasting room it was awesome! Such a rustic and unique set up with amazing wine. The employee there, Andrew, was seriously amazing explaining the different wine making methods and recommending wines to try. He was so great to tak to and we left in such a good mood! PS. Their rosé is amazing!
  • Knowledgeable friendly staff, perfect pairing of red/white wines and price points. Lady wine presenter knew her wines and the history of the Winery. Fun gift shop complete with condiments. Well worth the experience. Koodos.
  • Beautiful winery, with helpful, knowledgeable staff. We were able to taste a variety of their wines, which we wonderful, and I appreciated Brenda walking us through what we were tasting. It's a beautiful place to visit.
  • Excellent wines, especially their reds with the appassimento method. Some of their wines are high end and more expensive than other wineries but worth every penny. Very friendly and knowledgable staff, not snobby or condescending like other wineries I’ve been too. Highly recommend.
