  • A great park, close to the city. There is a large lake you can walk around. Lots of dog were there when I was.  more »
  • Kind of odd how one gets there on Watkiss way and Highland road. It appears there is access from six mile road as well. Once there if you are looking for a stroll among the trees along side a beautifu...  more »
  • Very nice local park popular with locals in the summers. Great swimming. Good for the whole family on a budget.  more »

  • Beautiful, easy walk around the upper and lower lake! Is super nice that before June 1 you can have your dog off leash in all areas. After that they are not allowed on main beach and picnic area until Oct 1. Our dog loves to swim and be in nature and this was a great place for him to unwind from the stress of being dragged on a road trip to the "City".
  • Great spot to cool off in the summer. Thetis is a very popular recreation area, partly because it's so accessible from the city, being conveniently located off of highway 1. The lake is cool and refreshing in the summer, and on a hot day you may have trouble finding space both in the parking lot and on the beach. There is also a great hiking trail all the way around the lake frequented by dog walkers and joggers.
  • This lake is so beautiful. If you visit for the first time, it seems to you as Lake Louise. There are lots of fantastic places for Bar B Que. Kids can play on the sand, can take sun bath etc. Also they have specious parking spot. Though for parking you have to pay. It’s not free.
  • Just breathtaking. The park is gorgeous tall trees and beautiful lakes. There are some steep path ways but manageable. I am not the fittest but it's well worth the sore legs to see the views.
  • Beautiful terrain. Takes approximately 45 mins to walk around the lake from the main parking lot. Gorgeous photo opportunities.
