Step into the world of creepy crawlies at Victoria Bug Zoo, a "minizoo" hosting the largest collection of tropical insects in North America. With over 50 species to see, consider taking a tour with the knowledgeable guides who'll offer a wealth of information. If you're feeling brave, try the safe bug handling experience, where you can hold tarantulas, scorpions, praying mantises, and cockroaches. Don't miss the ant colony, which extends over two walls and houses over 3 million ants. Arrange to visit Victoria Bug Zoo and other attractions in Victoria using our Victoria itinerary planner.

What a great, quirky, place to spend an hour or so, even if some of it made us squirm! Adults and children loved the informative staff who showed us the bugs, described their habitat etc. They handled... read more »
The Bug Zoo was super neat....and what I loved most about it was how knowledgeable the guides were. They could answer every question about all the bugs that were there, no matter how weird! Now of course you have to listen to people ask all these weird questions that take time away from the guide talking, but they are pretty good at getting people back on focus!
Sadly only an hour left in the day when we got there, the insect and collection is exotic and interesting. The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. We got to hold a tame and sedate tarantula named Nora. I was never terrified of spiders before, but I never really understood or liked them. Since then they have become my buddies, and I appreciate what they do. I think it's a great place for kids and adults alike and well go back when in Victoria again and spend more time!
What an interesting trip! The guides here are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There are many cool bugs here. Definitely gonna recommend my friends to come.
A fascinating experience fit for children and adults alike! Would definitely recommend to families with young kids to educate them on the many walks on life from the tiniest bugs to the most common of insects!
This is a great venue to bring the family. Many cool bugs in clear displays. Staff was pleasant and had lots of good information for the questions from all the kids and adults alike!
