Loved our afternoon at the museum, so much to see and we especially enjoyed the IMAX , Titans of the Ice age. We were looking for something to do on a rainy day and this was perfect!!
The Royal BC Museum is an absolute must if you are in Victoria. We loved their First Nation exhibition.
What an incredible experience. I was already expecting it, from other recommendations, but nothing prepares you for the actual experience. They put so much effort into the way their pieces are being displayed, creating multiple amazing environments and feelings to add to the experience. It's a great place for children, too. No one will be bored here. They also have an amazing IMAX theater, with a 6-story high screen powered by an industry leading, laser, 4K projector that is well worth the experience.
Hands down, this is the best museum I have ever experienced. Every area is so well done down to the last detail. Many of the displays are so eye popping they look like movie sets. Totally worth every penny. You need a couple of hours just to skim over the place.
Essential place to visit in BC. It's a massive museum. Huge props to the organizers and decorators. My personal favourite section is human history. I wish you could go inside more of the stores they have in there to maybe have more of a hands on experience. It's still amazing to see all those store fronts and items they contain.

Absolutely amazing! The Native Canadian exhibits are incredible. The masks that are on display are beautifully carved. The workmanship of all the art in the museum was outstanding. If you are ever in Victoria, try and spend some time here. You won't be disappointed. There is also a very comfortable IMAX theatre to enjoy.
What a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. I especially liked the first nation exhibits and how all the different cultures are celebrated. The displays are stunningly beautiful and the cobbled Street through history is amazing and very nostalgic. Make sure you leave enough time to see everything.
