  • By far one of the best museums I've ever visited. Lots of culture and history. Spent three hours there!

  • I love visiting museums and this is one of the most interesting ones there is. Art direction and attention to detail is almost like those of big budget Hollywood movies. This museum takes a lot of time to cover so take out 2 hours at least on your travel for this museum.
  • A lot of amazing exhibits in this museum that teach you about prehistoric times to the people of BC. Staff is friendly with any questions that you may have and they even have an IMAX theater. The museum is smaller than many of the big ones around the world but it is a great experience.
  • Good museum and reconstitution. Lot of details and interactions, but what I liked the most was the reconstitution of places for the BC environment and first nation environments. The Viking exposition was nice since I like viking, but it was more historical facts and rusted objects which is interesting but not impressing. The sword replica was nice but the computer interactions were limited, I was expecting more something like a reconstitution of weapons and clothes live with people wearing them and doing animation, not just pictures. The other exposition about BC 1800 and gold rush was less interesting to me.
  • Outstanding displays. IMAX theatre in the building, always with a good selection of films. Special displays are always interesting. Two good gift shops. Helpful and attentive staff. Lots of volunteers. Wheelchair loaners available. Accessible throughout. Excellent public lectures. Very informative. Excellent downtown location. Parking on the street or off Superior St to the south of the museum. Food truck festival in the rear during the summer months for lunch. Good small cafeteria and excellent coffee in a small interior café.
  • What an incredible experience. I was already expecting it, from other recommendations, but nothing prepares you for the actual experience. They put so much effort into the way their pieces are being displayed, creating multiple amazing environments and feelings to add to the experience. It's a great place for children, too. No one will be bored here. They also have an amazing IMAX theater, with a 6-story high screen powered by an industry leading, laser, 4K projector that is well worth the experience.
