This 19th century cemetery has amazing headstones, and beautiful trees. They do tours every Sunday leaving at 2 from the Plaza across the street. Cost is minimal and they tell you great stories about people buried in the cemetery. Keep an eye out for Emily Carr's grave too!
Really cool historical cemetery. Nice place for a walk and very close to the ocean.
As far as cemeteries goes, this one is nice I guess. I'm not sure how to review a graveyard, really. Comfort? Style? Taste? I guess if I wasn't alive anymore I'd enjoy this spot as much as the next dead guy.
I found friends of my family since I was 4 years old, who had formally resided on Haida Gwaii. I see Mr Joliffe is missing, but his wife Isabel is here (Please pardon my disrespectful and naughty dog!) It gave me comfort when I found out about Eccl 9:5,10 and John 5:28,29; That the supreme God of the universe will remember these folks when he at some time in the future will resurrect them.
Lovely place to reflect and see the history of many pasted citizens
