Helmcken House is a museum in Victoria, British Columbia, located in Thunderbird Park. It was built by Dr. John Sebastian Helmcken, the first doctor in Victoria, in 1852, a surgeon with the Hudson's Bay Company. It is currently claimed to be the oldest house in British Columbia that is open to the public. Some interesting items on display include his medical kit.

  • This is one of the oldest houses in British Columbia. Its owner John Sebastian Helmcken became a large propeller and contributor of the medical society of that city. He always lived there where raised their four children. Both the environment as the House is worth knowing it.
