  • A nice place to see the water and view the amazing scenery. The path does attract moderate foot and bike traffic however it is located in family friendly seemly safe area. Great location for a run or walk connects to other nearby Parks and not to lo far from downtown.
  • Victoria can claim fame to a wonderful 1.5 klm long "Off Leash" dog park overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Our three legged Labrador has grown up visiting this park and doing what dogs do best. Socialize.
  • One of the best views on Vancouver Island, and one of the 'must visits' on a Victoria trip. But also much loved by locals for walking (esp with dogs), kite flying, and/or parascending. Tends to be breezy, and would be well served with a coffee kiosk nearby!
  • I slept in a car on a parking lot in Clover Point Park one night. The scenic of the sunset from Clover Point Park was beautiful. You can see Mt. Olympus across the strait from here on the clear sunny sky. The park was pleasure for resting and eating a picnic lunch despite the windy from the West (Pacific ocean).
  • Such a wonderful place to go for a stroll. We like to sit on a bench overlooking the water. It's always fun to watch the dogs playing, as it's an off-leash area.

Where to stay in Victoria

The curling waterfront Wharf Street, which becomes Store Street, offers the best selection of lodgings in the city center, although you can expect to pay extra for the trademark views. Many travelers opt to stay in the neighborhood of James Bay, where Belleville Street and surrounds provide comfortable and even luxurious options. For something more relaxed and closer to nature, look south to the expansive Beacon Hill Park.
