Visit Chinatown to see the oldest Chinese district in Canada. The quarter dates back to 1858, after the discovery of gold in Fraser canyon brought an influx of immigrants to British Columbia. Step into the past as you explore the narrow alleyways and historical buildings of the compact neighborhood. Take a guided tour to learn more about the area's history and the life of Chinese Canadians through the years. Visit charming shops and restaurants, discover hidden gems, sample delicious treats, or purchase a quirky souvenir. Put Chinatown and other Victoria attractions into our Victoria trip builder, and watch your holiday take shape.
