  • Prince Abkhazi and his wife Peggy met each other sometime in the early 1920s in Paris, and they fell in love. Two of the war, both were captured by the Nazis and their repimiksi, the other one by the Japanese. It took thirty years and the couple met each other again. They bought a plot of land and built the House in Victoria, a rocky and this garden, which shows that it is a lovingly assembled. 1994 Peggy died and his ownership of his will directed the garden of British Columbia. The garden is maintained with piety. The House has a tea room, which hosts a happy family reunions. The absolute location of the visit at any time of the year, but maybe in the spring at its best.

  • This beautifully laid out garden was lovely even in the winter season, with color from carefully chosen foliage and berries--even a few blooms! Even the rain added texture to the ponds. Ask at the tea...  more »

  • I went there with a friend on October 2, 2016. My son had gotten married at the Oakbay Beach Resort. We had thought of going to the Empress Hotel but one of the staff at Oakbay suggested Abkhazi Garden for tea. It was only a 5 minute car drive away. We are glad we decided to go.The gardens are beautiful and the tea and treats were great and the 1/3 of the costs! I would recommend it!
  • Among my handful of favourite Victoria gardens. I visit at least monthly because there is always something different to admire in this garden built by two lovers with a fascinating personal history too.
  • Garden is absolutely beautiful. Admission is by donation. There is a tea house if you fancy, but be warned of the cost. You must order some kind of food, and can not split a dish between two people.
  • Wonderful place with amazing afternoon tea. Very courteous and friendly service.
  • Very well put together, a fantastic display of horticulture. Absolutely recommend this place, and i don't even like plants that much lol
