Nature / Park
Escape the hustle and bustle of Vernon at Polson Park, a verdant space combining lush greenery and plenty of sports facilities. For some peace and quiet, head to the intricately manicured Japanese garden, donated by the city's Japanese community. Depending on the season, you might catch a game of soccer or tennis here, or you can get active yourself along the running trails or at the lawn bowling area. Keep your eye out for the park's floral clock, installed in 1958, and stop by the duck pond to see the resident foul. • Beautiful and lots of birds to feed but because of all the feeding the park is covered in poop and gets veey very stinky. All in all though the park maintenance people are pretty good at keeping up with it. The biggest problem is the homeless and their habits. Scary place to be sometimes because of it. Also it'd closed at night and there's no lights. I don't think parks should close.
  • Great big park with lots of grass. Playground for all ages Swings. Even Creek with ducks and geese. As well as nice.
  • Great park with lots of activities available. Water park, duck pond, swing set, gym, lawn bowling, skate park, running track and tennis. Also great for taking grad/wedding photos or just going for a stroll
  • Love the park and spray water park, the duck ponds & flower clock have always been a favorite.
  • Great place to wonder about and make sure that you cover the whole walk ways including the wooden walks.
