Third Beach, Vancouver
(4.5/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Get away from the crowds at Third Beach, an expansive and tranquil stretch of coastline. Taking a long walk or simply relax on one of the many logs scattered along the sand. While an adjacent beach offers a livelier, family-friendly hangout, this one remains secluded, frequented mostly by picnicking locals. Bring a barbecue and sit back to enjoy the waves and gentle sea breeze. The abundant trees surrounding the beach enhance the sense of remoteness, blocking noise from the thoroughfare overhead. Rent a bike from a nearby shop and cycle along the seawall; bring bike lights if you plan to stay on after dark. • Although walking to third beach is always great at any time of the year...during the summer it is at its best. Grab a log and read your book a place of leisure. If you are too hot cool down the water ...  more »
  • Accessible from Seawall (within Stanley Park), this superb Beach recognizable to those giant logs, amazes us. A tip: do not miss this place during your next stay in Vancouver!

  • Before Stanley park, are the third Beach, at the end of false creek to understand one another. There is also a pool and many locals. The place is always considered current because close to the Park and to denman st. and David street, where the heart of the west end attracts many people, not necessarily tourists. And with many cafes and bistros. Funny, even alone.

  • Where: Third Beach - Vancouver, BC What: A beachfront with access to cycling path. How was it: This was our first time seeing the Pacific ocean, so it was a special place. We will forever remember the time we spent here. The beach is nice, kind of cold to swim but you can dip your feet in the water. There is also a series of rocks you can walk on that brings you above the water. We spent a good deal of time here and also had lunch at the concession stand nearby. Our only regret is not going to see the Siwash rock. Which only means that we should come back some day ! Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 4 Recommend: Yes, make this a stopping point when visiting Stanley park.
  • Best place to just hang out with friends. Sand beaches that are not too crowded, clean, I recommend going in the evening to see beautiful sunsets
  • Great place to enjoy the ocean water and a nice view to the West Vancouver hills. It can be hard finding a parking spot in a peak hours and on weekends.
  • Drum circle every Tuesday just before sunset. Very cool spot. Anyone can join in.
  • A great place for a picture, walk or to relax during the Spring and Summer months.
