A theme: Hooray! I’m going to the park today. To enjoy the fun, phylactery in hand, nothing in my way except the sun. Donuts to be destroyed, balloons to be popped, my wallet to be dropped. Some heights, some twirls, some spills, pink and blue cotton candy to settle little tummy ills. Speed on the coaster in matching the waiting time leaves life in beautiful contrast. Day is done, I can have no more fun, weary through, the theme has changed to boohoo.
I've grown up going to playland. Took my nieces there (5 and 8) the 5 year old got excited for a ride and the worker got annoyed (rolling her eyes and telling her to be quite) and wouldn't let her on. My niece wasn't acting any different than any other 5 year old and the worker made her cry. My boyfriend took her to another ride and my other niece and I came a couple minutes later. He told me the worker on that ride was swearing and slamming the gate when people were getting off. A lot of the staff seem to not have tolerance for children and probably should if they want to work at a place like Playland. The staff that were happy to be there made up for the others. One giving the 5 year old a prize when she was upset made her day better!
I come by every year and always have the same experience: fun! There are a many rides and the restaurant-Triple O's- is very delicious. The place isn't the cleanest but the cleanest amongst the other amusement parks I've been to. Though my only complaint is the long line-ups. Some big rides can have line-ups over an hour long! Staff are nice. They do their job well. Overall a great amusement park.
Great fun for families. But be mindful of height restrictions for young children. (They are very strict) Playland has a fair called the PNE that runs last week of august and first week September I encourage you to go and to make a day out of it.
I am 14 and love PNE but, today the 29th of August me and my family checked the website making sure PNE is open before we go, and the website said it is from 9am to 4 p.m. .....family and I went but they said it was close??????? what the hell!!!!!!
