Offices in the Marine Building, Vancouver

(260+ reviews on the web)
Architectural Building Tourist Spot
Once the tallest building in the British Empire, Offices in the Marine Building sits as a tribute to art deco and the city. The building was completed in 1930, but its place as an attraction was hurt by the Great Depression. Today it is known as one of the most notable buildings in the city. Observe the building from the outside with its "icing" look. Walk through the interior to admire details such as marine animals and zodiac symbol decor. The elevators are lined with 11 local hardwoods and are a highlight of the attraction. Plan to visit Offices in the Marine Building during your Vancouver vacation using our convenient Vancouver vacation builder.

  • What an amazing example of art deco architecture. Built in 1930, it is so surprising that this beautiful building has not been torn down in a city that does not always respect the past. We were blown away by the lobby with its sea-themed decor, plaster work and stained glass. The historical plaque is informative.
  • Was a tenant. Older building but management company Oxford is very responsive and helpful with requests. Beautiful art deco lobby.
  • Wonderful Architecture!!!
  • Stunning art deco design. Worth wandering into.
  • Some of the best architecture in the city. Beautiful building. Make sure to check out the lobby. Great nautical, marine theme.
