Take a tour through a local brewery and try out some of the craft beers that helped grow the Canadian beer industry at Granville Island Brewing. The brewery was founded in 1984 with the goal of bringing better beer options to locals who had limited choices. Get a tour of the facilities, learn about the process for brewing their main brews and small-batch brews, and end with a tasting of several different ones. You can stop for a meal at the on-site restaurant before heading over to shop for some memorabilia or your own six-pack. • Loved their "Hops are Vegetables" sign out front! Had a taster tray, their beers are pretty good. Definitely a crowded tourist spot.
  • We had a selection of beers which were all rather nice. Staff were kinda keen to remove empty glasses- maybe to many people have "borrowed" them for souvenirs I dont know but I would have preferred to...  read more »
  • We love to sample craft beers when we travel so Granville Island Brewing was a destination for us. It didn't disappoint. We didn't try the food, but the beer was great. The Winter Ale is FANTASTIC! De...  read more »
  • Great beer. My favourite is the Heyday hefeweizen. The food was surprisingly good. I did not expect the food to taste as good as a fine dining restaurant. My wife had a burger. The ground beef tasted real fresh, I believe they make it in house. The pulled pork was very moist with a very tasty BBQ sauce. Both dishes have generous servings. Would definately come again, next time friends and order a pitcher of beer.
  • There is a wait to get inside, but it's not very long. Service was quick, and the food was delicious. We ordered a pizza and a charcuterie board. The one disappointing aspect was the beer itself. I've had better beer elsewhere, and for all the hype surrounding it, it didn't deliver. Everything else about the brewery is awesome though, and you should definitely check it out.
  • Great place to try some solid beers. Not a ton of room so can fill up quickly. Sat at the bar and had super quick service. Definitely would recommend trying the rotating small batch taps.
  • I went in to try a flight of beers because I've been a long time customer of theirs and was visiting Vancouver. But they refused to seat me. Even though there were multiple two person tables available because I was by myself and there was no room at the bar they said they said they wouldn't seat me. It was their "policy". Well now you lost a regular customer for years who will never be buying your beers again. Who would have thought a local craft brewery would be acting like such an impersonal corporation!!!
  • Really great brewery bar; staff are friendly and beer is delicious. Favourites were Cypress Honey Lager, Infamous IPA and Hey Day Hedeweizen. The Raspberry ale is very light, not too sweet- very refreshing. Perfect place for a late afternoon bevvie.
