Canada Place, Vancouver
(4.2/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Stop at Canada Place, the region’s main cruise ship terminal, and watch as crowds of passengers disembark to be met by the frigid Alaskan weather. An important location in the city, the docks house several landmarks, including the Vancouver Convention Centre and Vancouver’s World Trade Centre. Observe the unusual architecture, modeled on a boat sail, or take to the skies on the virtual flight ride, FlyOver Canada. Enjoy a meal cooked by renowned chefs at the complex’s restaurant, or simply take in the wonderful waterfront views, as sea birds soar past and various seafaring vessels come and go. • Canada Place is lovely because you can see the Olympic Torch and plaza, visit a variety of shops, have nice meals, or just stop for coffee and people watching.

  • Well organized cruise ship terminal. The staff here is clearly used to moving large numbers of people through very efficiently. There are numerous public transportation options nearby. We arrived from Seattle on an overnight cruise trip (Date Night!) and easily navigated our way on the subway to the airport to pick up a one way rental car for the trip back afterwards. The Waterfront subway station is right outside the terminal; taxis are everywhere and the city is very walkable downtown. "Canada Line" is the subway to the airport and took us less than an hour to get through the whole process.
  • Clean and well kept. The convention I went to there was great, and the security and extra staff there were kind. Superb photo location! Be sure to come when it's a sunny day to have the best experience!
  • A lovely spot to visit, whether you're from Vancouver or simply visiting. Canada Place offers access to local conventions, an Imax theatre, and some breathtaking views of Stanley Park, and the downtown skyline. With nearby shops to stop by and enjoy lunch, and lounge while taking in our beautiful city.
  • Gorgeous views of Vancouver! Seems to be the spot for tourists to take that memory selfie with vancouver in the background but even if you live here is a fabulous spot for views of the north shore, vancouver and downtown. It's the location of flight over canada which is fun to experience, and seabus, skytrain and bus are all nearby.
  • Beautiful architecture and touristic area. Nice restaurants. Be careful with "bike lanes," some bikers are aggressive and rude to pedestrians wandering into their domain. This being a high-traffic pedestrian area, bikers should be forced to lower their speed. Interestingly, not any kind of law enforcement officers were seen in the entire area for days. They showed up only after being called by tourists that got robbed in daylight in the Gastown area.
