Canada Place, Vancouver

4.2
#1 of 241 in Nightlife in British Columbia
Architectural Building Convention Center
Stop at Canada Place, the region’s main cruise ship terminal, and watch as crowds of passengers disembark to be met by the frigid Alaskan weather. An important location in the city, the docks house several landmarks, including the Vancouver Convention Centre and Vancouver’s World Trade Centre. Observe the unusual architecture, modeled on a boat sail, or take to the skies on the virtual flight ride, FlyOver Canada. Enjoy a meal cooked by renowned chefs at the complex’s restaurant, or simply take in the wonderful waterfront views, as sea birds soar past and various seafaring vessels come and go. • Canada Place is an iconic Vancouver landmark. Walking along the sea on the plaza level is a must. The Canadian Trail isn't as "cool" as it seemed when it was created. Needs an update. The convention center is first class. There's a cozy little coffee place on the plaza level. The Pan Pacific seemed grander in 1986 when we attended Export 86 for our honeymoon!
  • Great location with surrounding shops and restaurants! Been for numerous conventions. Take lots of photographs. Fly Over Canada above. Free shuttles to other attractions out front. Wheelchair accessible. Located north west of Waterfront Station. If you're looking for inexpensive food, directly across the street, lower level, is a Tim Hortons! Simply go downstairs in Canada Place and in flows into a food court.
  • Great venue for all types of large events, sales, weddings and etc. What's more is that it is an amazing spot to take a stroll, ride your bike or to take some photos. It's an excellent vantage point to see the North shore mountains, downtown and Stanley Park. It is also the site for our Olympic Cauldron in Jack Pool Plaza.
  • This is a very nice place to relax, you can easily spend 4-5 hrs here just strolling around. There are good food options as well and other attractions like flyover canada. Also we loved watching those huge cruise ships.
  • Large cruise ship terminal for Vancouver. Also a convention center as well from what I could see. Various dining opportunities. 3 ships were boarding this day with a total of over 10,000 passengers. The process was handled efficiently, but it was long, as all passengers had to clear US customs first. It really helped to have Global Entry at this facility.
