Canada Place, Vancouver

Convention Center · Traveler Resource
Stop at Canada Place, the region’s main cruise ship terminal, and watch as crowds of passengers disembark to be met by the frigid Alaskan weather. An important location in the city, the docks house several landmarks, including the Vancouver Convention Centre and Vancouver’s World Trade Centre. Observe the unusual architecture, modeled on a boat sail, or take to the skies on the virtual flight ride, FlyOver Canada. Enjoy a meal cooked by renowned chefs at the complex’s restaurant, or simply take in the wonderful waterfront views, as sea birds soar past and various seafaring vessels come and go. • We walked along the water front which is normally busy with Christmas shoppers, however not today! COVID quiet waiting for the 2021 to turn thing around!  more »
  • It was really quite on nice hot August summer day because of COVID-19. No cruise ships and no attraction. But nice to visit there if you are visiting Vancouver  more »
  • There didn't seem to be much to do here but it was nice to wonder around and take in the scenery on offer, mostly of the water and mountains to the north. The area was clean and it wasn't busy at all....  more »

  • Vancouver' cruise ship terminal. Affords great views of the harbour and North shore mountains. A great place to start sightseeing. Close to Stanley Park, Gastown, Convention Centre and Seawall walk. Departure location for many tours. Fly Over Canada theatre located at the end of the pier.
  • My most favourite place in Vancouver. This place is where you see all the cruises and seaplanes. Brilliant photo opportunity for tourists and travellers. Lots of good spots to spend the evening watching sunsets.
  • Iconic place for the city. This is where the cruises arrive. During new years there are fireworks. During the summer is a nice place to walk and take pictures.there is also flight over Canada which is a nice interactive film about Canada.
  • Took the sea bus to get to vibrant Vancouver! Always a treat for me to walk the streets here. All those magnificent buildings seem to have a life of their own; alive, they appear. Each one is unique, reflecting on each other. Beautiful they are!
  • The sails are an icon of Vancouver. Cruise ships come and go from here, fireworks are hosted nearby on special occasions, it's home to Fly Over Canada, and it's used as a convention centre for various events. Generally very touristy area but nice to check it out even if you're a local.
