Inspirock Rating:
4.8/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web
Hike along Wild Pacific Trail, which weaves through wind-sculpted trees, moss, and ferns as you witness shipwrecks, whales, and unspoiled scenery. A good way to see the rugged coast without it being especially challenging, the trail is set up in two main sections. Take time to stop for views from strategically placed seating and watch for eagles and other wildlife. The full extent of the trail is about 10 km (6.2 miles), but it's broken into four smaller loops for less strenuous excursions. • Great trail with every turn full of surprises and unmatched beauties. You could see wildlife (bald eagles flying above), small springs and bays and beaches that are secluded or open to ocean. Gorgeous...  read more »
  • Trails well laid out with several secluded points to sit an watch the waves especially on the lighthouse loop, take a picnic
  • I have lived in Ucluelet for 16 years and love the Wild Pacific Trail. My husband and I have seen otters, gray whales and even orcas from this trail
  • One of our favourite hiking trails. Awesome for Winter storm watching and watching local bird life. It's also easy on the legs with plenty of places to take photographs and sit down. Look out for the local eagle who sits at the top of the tree on the small island in the inlet. Great place to go on Christmas Day and walk off Christmas lunch. Wave at the camera at the lighthouse too but be careful climbing the rocks, those waves are deceptive.
  • Great trail to do if you come all the way down here. You get the best of all worlds. Beautiful coastal views, the oldest cedars on the west coast and tons of access to beaches and private beaches too!
  • beautiful views and pretty easy walk. Suitable for the elderly and kids as well... we went with our 6 and 10 year old and also with my mom... they did fine
  • Fantastic hiking trail. Highly recommend. Take the time to do the Arists Loops, Ancient Cedars, and Bluffs. Can easily be done in 2.5 hours and is not overly strenuous. Beautiful views.
  • Non-stop jaw-dropping vistas. Beautiful, well groomed trail through the forest. We did the complete trail, 20 km return. I would do the two ends as separate hikes next time; the road section through the village is a bit boring.
