  • Known to be the best artisanal chocolate in Toronto which we put to a test. Brought back a variety of chocolates from Belgium and blind tested with Soma’s and hands down - Soma came out the winner! Ho...  more »

  • Chocolate factory in the Distillery District. Rich in flavor, a from a bar of chocolate truffles until chocolate variety. Also eat. I think candidate Toronto souvenirs. Atmosphere is nice, fragrant chocolate shop.

  • The hot chocolate here is to die for! It’s pricey but worth every cent! They have the best gifts and such a cozy atmosphere, once you walk in you aren’t going to want to leave in a hurry. From their gelato to chocolate creations, everything is pure quality. Honestly the best part about visiting the distillery district is coming here.
  • Best chocolate ever. The Old School bar is amazing if you want to try something unique without feeling guilty after. There are frequently new creations to try. The gelato is to die for. There are many other treats to take home; truffles, tumbled roasted corn 🤤 , tumbled nuts and dried fruits, cookies, bars, hot drinks etc. This is a must try. 2 locations Distillery district and King St W./Spadina. SOMA chocolate is also used at O&B restaurants.
  • Easily the best place in the city for specialty chocolate. It can be crowded and hard to get through, but can you really blame all the fellow chocolate lovers? I don't think I've tried a single thing here that wasn't absolutely divine.
  • From the bean to the bar - That's pretty unique and you can taste the difference! I tried both hot chocolates (classic and spicy) and they are delicious! So are their gelato and truffles. It's a dangerous place if you like chocolate :-) My favourite is their signature chocolate the "oldschool" made with an vintage chocolate grinder.
  • over the top chocolate! and open view of chocolate making facilities! great setting in the distillery district. 😊 worth a visit for the sights, stay for the chocolate.

Where to stay in Toronto

Most visitors stay in the historic neighborhood of Old Toronto, as the central district offers unparalleled access to the best attractions in the city and several metro stations within walking distance. If you're looking for a different taste of Toronto, stay in the trendy neighborhoods of West Queen West or King West Village, popular for their nightlife, arts, and cafe scenes. You can embrace Toronto's multicultural charms by staying in Chinatown, perhaps the city's best location for foodies.
