Trip Planner:   Canada  /  Ontario  /  Toronto  /  New City Hall
An iconic government building, New City Hall was designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell, who envisioned the structure as a saucer-shaped council chamber flanked by two concave towers of differing heights. You can take a tour of the building to learn about the history of the city and see its green roof, arguably the structure's finest architectural feature. Our Toronto trip planner makes visiting New City Hall and other Toronto attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

The building itself do not think that it has great value. A place of passage is... living in the surrounding area and the photo with the typical sign of Toronto. Very good, and walk a few minutes is OK.

The set is very original and offers a few planes for photo estupuendos. The circular building wrapped as parentheses by the highest I was very surprised. Very handsome.

Always love seeing it in, especially next to old city hall for the combination of old and new architecture.

Just so beautiful. Architecturally, very eye pleasing

One of the real jewels of modern Toronto architecture. Tours are interesting, and if you're lucky you can also sit in on a city council session to witness Toronto's rabidly dysfunctional councilors. The city is currently under the "guidance" of weak-kneed mayor John Tory.

A rather nice location for ice skating in central location. Rink wasn't too big though. And of course the interesting designed City hall tower.

Where to stay in Toronto

Most visitors stay in the historic neighborhood of Old Toronto, as the central district offers unparalleled access to the best attractions in the city and several metro stations within walking distance. If you're looking for a different taste of Toronto, stay in the trendy neighborhoods of West Queen West or King West Village, popular for their nightlife, arts, and cafe scenes. You can embrace Toronto's multicultural charms by staying in Chinatown, perhaps the city's best location for foodies.
