Sherway Gardens is a large retail shopping mall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The mall is located several kilometres west of downtown Toronto in the former suburb of Etobicoke, near the interchange of Highway 427 with the Queen Elizabeth Way and Gardiner Expressway. The mall opened in 1971. Its original structure covered 850000sqft in an S-shaped configuration and contained 127 stores. It was expanded in 1975, 1987, 1989, and 2015. Sherway is now 1182000sqft, has 215 stores, and is the eighth largest mall in the Greater Toronto Area. As the mall has grown, it has changed its mix of stores from a general mix of stores to add more fashion-conscious and luxury brand stores.HistoryThe Sherway Gardens mall, a $21.5 million project, was revealed to the public by Sherway Gardens Limited on February 24, 1971. The mall was laid out in an “S” shape design. Community events and promotional activities took place at the centre of the mall in the central court with its 31ft high skylight. Like other shopping centres, Sherway Gardens contains fountains, indoor greenery, benches and couches for the enjoyment of shoppers. Unlike the designs of other malls, such as the Toronto Eaton Centre, Sherway Gardens was built with “intimate low ceilings”.In 1975, to accommodate for 75 new retail spaces, the “S” layout was altered to resemble a figure eight. A few years later, in 1987, Holt Renfrew (one of Sherway Gardens anchor retailers) was moved to a newly built wing on the north side of the mall The expansion allowed for 20 additional stores and was later referred to as the “fashion wing”, as it housed clothing stores.Put CF Sherway Gardens and other Toronto attractions into our Toronto trip builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

This is probably my favorite mall in this city. I come here as often as I can, which isn't very since I live pretty far, but love stopping by when I'm passing through the area. The recent expansion is nice! It really opens up the space which I guess previously felt a little confined due to the low ceilings. I always liked the original food court because it was so open and airy, but I think I like the new one even better. There's so much space and more food options. There are a few restaurants as well. The Pickle Barrel has been my usual choice though Beaumont Kitchen at Saks has been nice my last couple of visits. I really just tend to come by following a long trip and feeling pretty exhausted, and I just find it a great place to get some nice food, then a coffee and dessert, and recharge for a couple of hours.
I love this mall because everywhere in this mall always looks very clean, modern, and all of the stores have good quality items and look very fresh as well. But wait until you see the modern food count.Out of all the food counts in Toronto. Sherway Gardens Mall is the most modern I have ever saw! Also the most Modern part of the mall.Highly recommend one go at this mall it will be worth it and eating there will feel so fresh and modern.
They really have renovated this mall alot compared to the state it was in before. They've added alot of name brand stores such as Ted Baker and Tory Birch. It makes it an alternative mall which is a bit closer compared to Eaton's centre, or Yorkdale mall. The only criticism I have is due to all the renovations, parking is often scarce. Hopefully they open all the parking lots soon! Overall great mall.
One of the best shopping malls in GTA. It's undergoing a renovation process bringing new shops and some great brand names to this mall. The new food court is fantastic. Pussattieri brings new excellent stuff to this mall.
Nice mall, but parking is a nightmare. Whoever did the re-design made the parking way too small. If you like getting dings and dents in your car due to stupidly small parking spaced then visit this mall.
