  • We did the drop in option with my wife and 2 older teenagers. We all loved it and highly recommend. Certainly a unique experience and the staff made it easy to learn and fun to enjoy.
  • We looked up beforehand for cool things to do in Toronto and we found this and thought.... we MUST GO!! We arrived early and they hadn't opened yet, but we were greeted by the trainers who came and sa...  more »
  • I am not an athletic person by any means -- I enjoy walking and the occasional hike, but I wouldn't say I'm "athletically inclined," that was, until I went to BATL Grounds. The atmosphere was very int...  more »

  • What a blast!! The grooms dad vs the bride in the finale. We took a group of 20 and had rented out 4 lanes. Two guides stay with you and give everyone practice and lessons. By the end of practice everyone was a least hitting and sticking the axes in the boards. From there they ran a competition that led to the finale. Waiver yes, sharp axes yes, cussing yes, hidden warehouse thats hard to find yep, do it again? Absolutely
  • I had tones of fun here! All the staff were super friendly but also very well trained. I was in a group of about 12 and there was never a dull moment. Looking forward to going back :)
  • These guys will make sure you and your friends are having a blast. We we're ~30 people, divided into two groups. We had two awesome coaches that took their time to teach people how to throw an axe, and even to find the right style for you. Just to clarify - you can be a total newbie and still win the playoffs, like it happened with my group. Bring your (non-alcoholic) drinks, there's a fridge you can use and high tables for snacks and food - we ordered pizza ahead to arrive an hour into our time slot, which worked out great, because by that time everyone completed their training. There's a free parking in the front and on the street, but the place is easily accessible if you just walk down Cherry street. Follow this with a round of beers in the Distillery and your fun is guaranteed.
  • Was here in a group for a birthday celebration. Fun lively place with great staff. Basic training is provided before your start throwing. Everyone had an experience to remember.
  • Always lots of fun with a group. Gets a little warm in the summer so dress appropriately. No open-toed shoes.
