Radar Hill, Tofino

(1.2/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Used in both World War 2 and the Cold War, Radar Hill represents both a historical and outdoor activity site. Take a half-hour hike down Radar beach to reach the hill, remembering to wear adequate shoes and clothes, as the trail can get slippery and muddy at times. At sunset, you can enjoy the view over the peninsula in peace, so bring your camera to snap some great photos. Finish your hike by inspecting the crashed bomber plane from World War 2. Take a look at our Tofino vacation planner to schedule your visit to Radar Hill and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Easy access by car and then easy access by a wheelchair or a stroller, you will discover the singing of the birds, the beauty of the forest, and a nice view of some mountains. Too bad that there is not a small tower at the top; We could appreciate the view of the surrounding area.

  • You can see the views looking toward Tofino here and toward Ucluelet. A great spot to take photos and you are able to drive to the top so it is not as challenging to access as some mountain views.  more »
  • Don't bother. Even if you don't take the oil pan off your car, if there ever WAS a view, the trees have grown up and obliterated it.  more »
