Chesterman Beach, Tofino
(4.7/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Take a walk along the long stretch of sand at Chesterman Beach, as surfers ride the waves and friendly locals walk their dogs. Find a spot to sit and enjoy the sunset, or build a fire after dark and watch the stars. At low tide, you can stroll out to the rocky island outcrop and explore the exposed tidal pools. Keep an eye on the time, though; the tide can rise very quickly and could leave you stranded on the rocks. • The beaches around Tofino (Chesterman Beach included) have an amazing of flat beach to fit many people and accommodate either beach activities or just relaxing. Excellent views and atmosphere on a nice sunny day.
  • very very pretty, in fact the prettiest beach on vancouver island. when tides are low you can walk to an island for explorations.
  • Beautiful beach! There are north and south sections of the beach with different surf conditions. Also a great place just to hang out and have a fire.
  • I mostly do skim boarding, and this beach does not disappoint for that. Tons of flat sand, good waves, and a short walk from parking. Only to be eclipsed by Long Beach, but you have to pay to park there.
  • Really nice beach with some soft sand. It can get quite windy though.
