Categories: Lighthouses, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web
Following a tough hike across the island, you'll be rewarded with the sight of Flowerpot Island Lighthouse, which sits on a rock platform just by the water’s edge. The cone-shaped lighthouse stands at roughly 30 m (98 ft) tall and features an almost all-white exterior, with the windows and railings painted in red. Take a seat on one of the benches found right beside the lighthouse and admire the view over Georgian Bay. If you’re brave enough, dip into the water, which is quite cold. Speak to volunteers who maintain the lighthouse to learn about its history, as well as that of the island.
  • The Flowerpot Iceland was really beautiful and we enjoyed our trip there really. Luckily we have thought and packed a swimsuit, it was indeed really beautifully refreshing! The lighthouse itself is nothing special, we have introduced greater than him - when compared to the rest of the island only okay.

  • Tobermory is such a magical place. We go every year, and stop at the lighthouse for a swim in the crystal clear waters. The sad thing though is that the water levels are going down so much in Georgian Bay.
