Flowerpot Island, Tobermory
Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Explore the fascinating Flowerpot Island, accessible only by boat, and discover one of Canada’s most impressive natural beauties. The island takes its name from the two rock pillars located on the eastern shore, which resemble flower pots and even have trees growing out of the top of the stacks. Spend your time on the island admiring the rock formations, hiking the trails on offer, exploring caves, or swimming in the cool bays. The beaches on the island aren’t sandy, so bring appropriate footwear. If you want to stay overnight, take advantage of one of the six campsites on the island. However, make sure you call in advance to reserve your space. Bring plenty of water for the duration of your stay, as there is no tap water on the island. Flowerpot Island is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Tobermory Edition.
