Thunder Oak Cheese Farm, Thunder Bay
Categories: Farms, Tourist Spots
Sample the best Gouda that Ontario has to offer at Thunder Oak Cheese Farm, a favorite of cheese-lovers around the country and beyond. This cheese farm dates back to 1995, when the Schep family opened with the express purpose of making the Dutch yellow cheese with fresh milk from their own cows and no added preservatives. Stop by the onsite cafe for a hot drink and to sample a delightful array of their products. The farm also stocks a number of Dutch imports of Gouda; buy a selection to take home. Cheese itself is good but 99% Gouda (although good flavour selection), some curd and a tasty Swiss. For those who are anticipating a selection of different varieties like Maple Dale Cheese factory in Plainfield, ON, the selection here is limited.
LOVE FRESHLY MADE CHEESE, Just the SMELL ALONE Is a Great thing.😊
Excellent selection of Gouda cheeses, some with flavouring. Overall great cheeses.
