  • Wow. What a stunning park. First there is a tiny bit of a walk to get to the main clearing and water. That walk is so pleasant, especially when we went as the sun was shining, birds were tweeting and it was a lovely Friday evening. Pictured below is the sun shining between some trees on our walk. Then you get to the clearing which is so well maintained by the park care taker or whoever looks after it- bravo! There are picnic tables and benches to sit on, the water is clear, had ducks and geese when we went and the lawn is so well maintained as well. There are garbage bins available so there was no litter and the park was very clean. It's a great place to go for runs, have a picnic date or take your kids to play. It is beautiful and really has a calming atmosphere.
  • A wonderful wonderful oasis in the city, it can be so quiet. Chances are you'll see some local wildlife, so make sure to check out the nature house/visitor centre (they have a rescued Salamander there that is HUGE). And it's amazing there is no signs of graffiti or fires. If you plan on fishing PLEASE clean up after yourself! A lot of your peers don't, and the fishing line can seriously injure the wildlife (and all the discarded floats on the ground are ugly)
  • A great urban forest and lake, which is popular for fishing and walking. There's lots to enjoy here, from mossy tree stumps covered with mushrooms, to the wildlife. You can view ducks, bald eagles, double-crested cormorants, hawks, as well as many other birds. Just remember to not feed the ducks or let your dogs chase them! Also, smoking is not permitted here!!! Let's keep this place beautiful and welcoming to all.
  • Nice park. Only complaint is the garbage left behind by other park visitors. Lake stocked with fish for local fisherman.
  • A beautiful place with an amazing walking trail and stunning little lake.
