Specialty Museum Museum
Discover the fun side of science at Science North, a newly renovated museum offering ecosystem exhibits with real resident animals, interactive science installations, a digital planetarium, and even a billion-year-old geological vault. Kids will love the interactive exhibits and butterfly conservatory, but the museum certainly isn't just for the younger audience. Check out the 4D cinema, grab a bite to eat at the museum's restaurant, or bring your own lunch--you could be here a while. A visit to Science North represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Sudbury tourist route planner to plot your vacation.

  • Great place to spend the day with the kids, many interactive stations throughout the 4 floors. We had no little ones with us, but we all enjoyed the day exploring and asking questions. The "blue coats...  more »
  • Lots of fun for the family. You won't be dissapointed. Well maybe, if you are use to huge big city centres.  more »
  • Staff very helpful. The facility is very interesting and very well set out. But also very much geared to children (which is great). Lots of things for adults to see as well, and the three short movies...  more »

  • Science North is fun for everyone, but things escalate when you've got a little kid with you. There's tons of stuff to do here: enthralling documentaries about forest fires and nature to hundreds of hand-on activities--everything from building water flows to constructing electric race cars. Science North has always been a great experience, and delivers to this very day. Buy a pass, it's just got so much value!
  • Wow worth the drive. Very surprised how much fun it was and how much the kids enjoyed it. Much better than Toronto! Staff are great!
  • Very inneractive with lots to do and see. Our 10 year old grand son loved it as did our grown son. Very entertaining and educational. Soo much fun they did not know they were learning.
  • The grounds were really beautiful to explore. The theatre was really nice. I was at an event, it was a little disorganized but overall I can't wait to go back and explore the museum
  • Came for the escape room and was not disappointed. We were ~2 min from escaping when the time ran out so the puzzles were fair, all reasonably figured out, and thought provoking. Admittedly, there were a lot of puzzles, but we just needed better time management. The puzzles were all varied and some people picked up on how to do them right off the bat and other people would never have guess them. It was a lot of fun and we will certainly go back!
