Built in 1762 by the French after the invasion of St. John's, the battery was claimed by British forces soon after and remained active into the 19th century. • such a charming place and a lovely walkabout. you can't beat the views and it's only just outside of st. john's - walkable if you don't mind the hill!!!
  • Small and pretty village with some interesting shops and restaurants. Worth a visit if only for being picture-worthy.
  • You need to see this place that is hidden in St. John's. It is a lovely walk and enjoy the arts centre. The is a restaurant there called the Mallard Cottage that is highly ranked but we arrived too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Will definitely try it in the future.
