Step into the wilderness with a hike along one of the many paths that make up the 540 km (360 mi) East Coast Trail. With over 265 km (165 mi) of the trail developed with signage, maps, and difficulty levels, you can choose one of the 24 paths to suit your ability. Begin from the historic city of St. Johns and head north or south to discover a dramatically diverse landscape of lighthouses, abandoned settlements, caribou herds, and icebergs, all accompanied by spectacular views. Be sure to include the natural sea-driven geyser nicknamed “The Spout” into your itinerary. Or, head to Cape Spear to stand at the easternmost point in North America. Over 30 communities are scattered throughout the trail, providing spots to take a break, have a meal, and meet the locals.   • The drive along Highway 10 is quite picturesque, with lots of bays and small villages to visit. Definitely a lovely drive.
