  • We came to see a particular display from WW1 but stayed to enjoy the entire museum. Even those who had lived in St Catharines for years learned something.

  • Get up close and personal with GIANT lake freighters going through the locks. Marvel at the feat of engineering that this place is. Best part? Its free. Free admission. Free parking.. Bring your camera. Estimated ship times available on line. Highly recommend.
  • Great place to enjoy a picnic when travelling along the QEW Niagara from the USA border to Toronto. Watching s ship go through the locks is an amazing and educational excursion. Washroom facilities and a great children's plaground are available. Plenty of shaded picnic tables are perfect for relaxing picnics.
  • Cool place to visit. I have been through the area dozens of times and never even knew this was there. Plan ahead, and you might get to see some pretty interesting ships passing through as well. Lots to see as far as the history of Canada's national sport - Lacrosse.
  • Great spot to watch the ships come through the lock. The observation platform puts you right up close and next to the lock. However the tall fence between the platform and lock is a let down and can often obstruct the view.
  • Nice place to take someone from out of town. As a local it was still interesting to see some of the things they had in the museum. The best part of it was being so close to the ships as they go through the canal.
