I enjoy visiting the Meridian Centre for sport events. It's a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of St. Catharines. This place wouldn't be what it is without the help from all the volunteers.

Been there several times for River Lions games. The arena is clean and well kept. Seats are good and you have a good view no matter where you are sitting. Food is expensive but that's in any arena. Bathrooms are also clean. Only complaint I have is lack of proper parking as parking spaces close to the arena are very few.

Excellent arena, but the concourse was built very small. Great sight lines throughout. Would hate to have an emergency situation though and have to get out fast with a sold out crowd. Emptying the building takes forever.

Ice dogs play here. Booze is over-priced. $8.50 for tallboy Coors/Canadian which I personally don't drink. They do have Forty Creek whisky which is local from Grimsby but it's $7.50/oz. The usual gouge of the people when out to watch a hockey game. No parking on site. Or at least not even remotely close to having enough for people coming to a game. Parking is throughout the downtown of St. Catharines including a parking garage. The ice dogs website says it's free but the city charges $5. I have not bought food here but it's just as pricey and definitely just bar food. Nothing healthy really.
