  • My teenage son and I visited recently and were really blown away by the experience. So much history is packed in these walls and on the rail lines outside. There’s a variety of types of railway carriages to view: cabooses, boxcars, steam and diesel locomotives, handcars, a rail snow plow, and even a dental car that travelled to small towns to provide care to patients across Northern Ontario. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about a variety of rail topics. A delightful stop for the whole family if you’re passing through.
  • Good place to learn about Railways in the past. Morse code setup, dental car, dinning car, box car, etc good to see. Got a chance to see new attraction (under development) in caboose next to dental car- interesting modelling. Ticket $8 adult, kid (+4yrs) $5 (I think , not sure). Car Parking free. Short train rides on Sunday additional cost. Morse code demo on Sundays - not confirmed.
  • So much history! Cars are set up around the property, with many open for you to self tour. Inside museum is beautiful. Lots of railway artifacts and descriptions in full detail. Wonderful learning experience. Teaches about the KP trail, CN and CPR railroad.
  • Very fun and interesting. At the entrance they kinda talked us out of the guided tour, but we really regretted it, I think it would be better with a guide. Overall good value for the money, a nice day out.
  • What a great piece of history. We had such a lovely tour with a retired conductor who was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain and share some personal stories of his own! It will be even better when more trains are able to be explored but I understand due to covid they have to take things slow. We will definitely return.
