  • Love the groomed runs and quick chair on the front side, and the challenge and snow on the backside. Feels like a big "local" resort. Pretty quiet during the week. The Silver Grill restaurant is nice for upscale dining.
  • Silver Star Mountain Resort has a good variety of runs, there are quite a few hard ones on the back side and more easy ones on the front side. The food in the village is very good, there are several places to buy lunch and the people working there are helping you out whenever you have a question. When I broke my wrist at the beginning of the season, I was helped on the slope very quickly und taken care of in the sanitary station by very kind doctors. The landscape and view from up there is beautiful, and the weather is really good most of the times, although it might be pretty cloudy at the top of the mountain in the mornings.
  • Decent terrain with a fun village. Great for younger kids to learn to ski. Lots of cat tracking around to reach areas but of your doing hot laps of a few runs on powder days this shouldn't be a problem. Cat tracks are slopped enough for snowboarders to move around without unstrapping.
  • Sooo much fun! Great snow conditions, no crowds and lots of choices for all levels of skiers
  • Rated one of the best mountains for cross country skiing. The village is beautiful and so colourful. I've been snowboarding at Silver star since I was a kid but recently we've taken my own kids cross country skiing and it's a great mountain to start learning.
