  • My class of 20 students of kindergarten, grade 1&2 had an amazing field trip of habitat detectives. The students loved it and the staff was great!  more »

  • We found the Salish Sea Aquarium quite by accident as we ventured into Sidney to kill some time before taking the rental car back to the airport and flying home. It is beautifully maintained, the entrance process which depicts a submarine dive is very dramatic, the displays are interesting and informative. The tanks are clean and well maintained and the fish are healthy. They take a very humane approach to stocking the tanks as everybody only stays a few months and is then released back to the ocean and replaced with a new "guest". I highly recommend a visit to this place.
  • I really enjoyed the sea life, staff and atmosphere of the venu. Staff and volunteers are great knowledgeable and friendly people. If your an adult and curious about marine life or have kids, it's worth it. The touch pool is beautiful and the animals almost appear friendly and welcoming. This is a special place for those who love the ocean.
  • Go and experience the largest aquarium on Vancouver Island, BC, only 20 mins from Victoria in beautiful Sidney. See the largest octopus species in the world and a rare killer whale skeleton!
  • Great museum! Kids learned a few things about octopus! Amazing jelly fish! It was great on a rainy day finishing with hot chocolate in one of the local coffee shops.
  • Great fun for kids. Lots of activities despite the small size. The organized learning sessions are well worth visiting for alone.
